Career Conversations
A career conversation with someone outside your own organisation can be helpful in many circumstances:
-
you are thinking of quitting your job/career
-
you have decided you are now more ambitious than you thought
-
you are considering "retirement" and want to work through all the options for the next phase of your life / career
-
you want to restore your work/life balance in favour of life
-
you feel "stuck" and not sure what to do next
-
you are returning to work after a prolonged period of leave (e.g. parental, sick, bereavement)
I can help! I have been there! I also have specific training in "return to work" mentoring and have personal experience of both maternity leave and supporting my daughter and daughters-in-law to manage KIT days and return to work following maternity
I have a special interest in introverted leaders and co-published a toolkit: www.introvertedleaders.co.uk.
Examples of how I have helped people in the past:
A doctor with 2 children who had always put her partner's career in a highly competitive specialty before her own. She needed to work through how to sustain and develop her own, part-time but equally demanding career in another specialty.
An individual who had looked forward to a traditional retirement, abandoning work completely and being available for his family. He became deeply unhappy. After several sessions talking everything through, he eventually found a rewarding part-time role in a completely different sector which gave him the balance he still needed.
